Backup Sensors for Front?
Backup Sensors for Front?
Geeze I can't seem to gauge the distance from the drivers seat to the front of the car. I now have a nice ding in my WDP paint.
Can we put rear sensors in the front as well?
I know you guys will want me to also add curb feelers next.<G>

Yes, but you will have to sit in the back seat to use the front sensors. No, really, yes, you can. I saw an ad for a car the other day with front and rear sensors but can't for the life of me remember what it was, but there really is at least one out there. I would think the same sensors that work in the back would work in the front, in the same manner. I find that I have trained myself to park further away from anything that might hurt my WDP, and also farther from curbs than I usually park because of the wheels.
I have a hard time judging how far the front passenger bumper of the car is from things. I swear I'm inches from scraping a wall or another car, then I get out and you could drive a grocery cart through the space. Sideways. But, being too far away from things is better than the opposite.
Heh... dunno if I'd chance it. When the dealership installed my backup sensor, they f***ed it up the first time, and also managed to mis-align the trunk lid (they told me afterwards it was the first one they'd ever done... the hose-heads).
Had to leave it with them for 3 days to finally get it fixed. I'm afraid if I told them to put a set in front, they'd screw up the hood as well. :p Go Sussman!
