You are correct. There is only a pass-through, the seats do not fold down.

sure they do - the middle seat - it is very, very small - that one goes down.

This is something that has bothered me with my last Acura also. Why would they not allow the seats to fold?? At least make it an option.

Believe it or not, this was the main reason why I went with a TSX instead of a TL...

I have no idea why the insist on not giving us a folding back seat.
Its a cheap option and adds a ton of usefulness!

Speakers and sub are under the rear deck and behind the seat right? Kinda makes it impractical to have folding seats.

Do I wish the TL had folding seats? Yes. Can I live without it? Absolutely.

correct me if I'm wrong but I though a lot of times engineers choose NOT to have fold down seats is for chassis rigidity?

I remember my old M3 had what looked like 00 steet for the entire rear seat.

Yep, I was ready, as well, for the TL until I read, in this forum BTW, that it does not have folding rear seats. So, TSX, here I come....

Apparently when you cannot fold the seat down, the car is more ridget and stable. In results, you get better cornering and handling!! :P

Because when you can't fold down the seats. the bars supporting the back seat acts like a sway bar!!

I have to say, I did not like the fact that the seats did not fold however, 1 bad thing is a lot to change my mind on all the good things *L*. Would have been nice, probably gonna be an option in 05' ha.

i ma glad that my seats don't fold..... becuz if they did it would mean more vibration. Go ahead and compare to any other car with folding seats. Besides.... i didnt buy my car to haul 2x4's like the one poster said.

I find it hard to believe that someone likes that feature so much as to not buy a TL because it lacks the folding seats. However, to each their own, and enjoy the TL's cousin.

I'm pretty sure, if you want folding seats soooo bad, you can have it custom made professionally, and make sure there are no rattles, as it's one more moving part that moves as the car stretches in curves!

No reason to pick TSX just for folding seats! - it sounds like an excuse...
if you want more hauling space, get a truck
