B14 Service Cost for 2008 Type S
I just had the B14 service done at 103,600 miles at O'Donnell Honda in Ellicott City, MD. Here is a breakdown of the costs:
Synthetic oil change and filter $63.70
Timing belt parts (timing belt, compressor belt, water pump, coolant, tensioner, adjuster) $565.15
Timing belt labor $418.50
Spark plugs parts $124.38
Spark Plugs labor $94.50
Rotate tires labor $17.95
Shop supplies $20.00
Tax $48.62
Total cost was $1352.80 and includes 10% parts and labor discount.
The Acura dealer wanted an additonal $400. that's why I went to Honda.

Just had mine done as well. 54k miles, so MID didn't indicate, but decided to do the 105k maintenance due to age.
Timing Belt, Water Pump, Serpentine Belt, Tensioner came to $1018.57. I passed on the Spark Plugs because the mileage didn't warrant them to be changed. It probably was a little cheaper than normal because I also had a B1 service (passed on the tire rotation b/c i can get it for free from Discount Tires from buying the tires from there) and the Power Steering pump replaced at the same time ($450). They threw in a cabin filter for "free". Total bill came to $1753.40. This was in Columbus, Ohio

I still do not understand why Acura dealerships charge more for the same service that Honda can do. I guess the extra amount is for there so called "premium service". It's all image at the end of the day... Just me rantinggg

^ More overhead my guess...my local dealer gives out loaners, has all kinds of drinks and snacks (gourmet doughnuts, pastries), coffee machine..vacuums and washes the car (I respectfullly decline this) and better facility. Honda dealers in my area do not do any of this.
Same can be said for Lexus vs. Toyota dealership
