Kind of random, but I managed to snag an entire 07 Accord v6 with the BAYA trans for cheap. I originally was planning on chopping it and parting it out. I mainly want the transmission for future insurance on my TL (the TL is currently fine), but could also snag some other compatible parts while I'm at it, and sell everything else off.

The alternative (and probably easier) option, is to just perform the trans swap now, and hopefully sell the accord as a complete driving car again - albeit with my 265k mile original TL transmission in it. IF it fits. I don't see why it wouldn't fit, but I guess that's why I'm here asking if anyone knows the answer to that question. The accord is in decent condition, my close friend owned it for the past 12 years, and I know the trans at least is in good condition since I've done a fluid change or two on it. I would make my money back with either option, so I'm really just wondering here

I guess you'd have to transfer all of the Accord appropriate nomenclature over to the TL trans. as one would swapping the TL appropriate nomenclature over to the BAYA for install into a TL.

Your question reminded me of a 'similar' of sorts situation in regards to transmission swaps.
The 2G TL forum member, on the thread below, claimed to have a dealer purchased 2002 TL that had a 2008 TL tranny installed.
It never was accurately established what year transmission was installed, though, he wondered, after 15 years of not having serviced his ATF why the transmission was suddenly failing.
