Automatic transmission not engaging

Greetings!

I just finished a DIY project, where I installed a new engine and auto transmission in a 2006 TL. The engine and transmission are from a 2005, J32A3 engine and BDGA Auto Trans. While the engine fired up right away and runs like a dream, the auto tranny is barely go. I could use some help.

The seller included a brand new torque converter (TC) which I primed with 1 qt of Honda fluid at install. The TC slid right on, and I felt it lock in place after pressing it further in lightly. I did hear a tension "pop" sound when tightening the main bolts, and I thought it sounded like the pressure plate getting settled to where it was at.

The seller also mentioned one of the shift solenoids was known bad and needed to be replaced. This information helped when I first tried to test drive the car and it would barely engage.

I have tested all of the solenoids for Ohms and action, they seem to past the test. And in the tests I found I crossed a set of black/brown harness at the top of the tranny. No codes but I suppose this is only because I can't put any miles to test. Car is still no go, and I am at a loss what to do next.

With gratitude,
