just stumbled upon this article :

Should I Buy a Used Acura TL? » AutoGuide.com News

the good review should continue to give us confidence that the 3G TL was (and is) still one of the best cars out there on the road

I recently sold my 07 TL Nav with 86k miles and replaced it with an Audi. If I were to buy another car now I would only go with 07-08 TL.

awesome article, spot on. I honestly didn't know about the horsepower difference from 04-05 and 06.

I think it's the same engine, but what changed was the rating system that's used to rate HP. So even though by the spec sheet it differs, they're the exact same engine.

around 2006 ASE require all engine tested with accessory belt on in order to qualify engine HP rating. If so the 14 hp made perfect sense where all the power goes between AC compressor and PS pump.
