Auto window up/down rear conversion

Can someone with more knowledge than myself outline the specifics for converting the 2 rear windows to auto up/down from their present state?

Would this require new motors (from the front windows), and a switch/relay change out, or is it more advanced than this?

I really like the auto up/down and would like to extend this to the poor bastard windows on the rear

Thanx in advance!

I believe someone has done this in the forum...have you tried searching for it? also, i believe that someone else has wired the windows in such a way that he could also close them with the key fob (rather than just being able to open them with the key fob)...

I too was looking for this.. I couldn't find anything on it nor could I find anyone to do it. So I bought the Viper 791xv and with the remote I can do up and down. But still not in the car when it is running.

IF HOWEVER you DO find out how to do it please post it here as I would really like to get that done.

Thanks

Ryan

I had asked about this earlier, no one really answer how to do it.... i think just the relay and switch (DOUBLE DETENT) is all that would be required then again im not a EE

Ok So I just asked my audio guy, who happens to be MAGICAL with Electrical stuff and he says that he is pretty sure it is attached to a computer somehow and that it would take aLOT of playing around so that it would not burn out the switch.

He doesn't want to undertake this project so I think it might be out of our hands..

Just as a reference he did the DVD/NAV conversion in my car with the XM feed and made his own relays for it to work.

Yes a search was performed, with 0 results (hence the new thread).

I have read through the auto up via the key fob, but I am simply talking about auto up internally via the switch.

I also dont see this being connected to any type of computer. There are some pretty straightforward parts, Power wires, motors, relays, and a switch (no computer). I am of the opinion that a new motor would not be needed, but perhaps 2 new switches and 2 new relays.

I will research further.....
