huh?
i don't think any posts/threads get deleted. if you search for a topic it should pop up, rather it be from 2011 or 2004.
old threads (ones that haven't been updated in a while) get bumped off of the available pages, but if you search for something you'll be able to find it if that topic exists.

One thing i do notice a lot is that there are some threads that i guess you can say are dead ends/incomplete.
ex: member ask a question. others respond but no definite answer is given. leaving the thread useless because the OP found the answer elsewhere and didnt inform the board of his solution or he just gave up. Just adds more clutter.

Great Thread Triod, I Cant Agree More with everything that you have said... Theres a Huge difference in this forum from when I came on a couple of year ago to now and although I am not on here as much as I used to be I would hate to see this forum continue to decline... This is a great forum and I learned everything I know today from other members. We were all Noobs Once, just have patience with Other people on here... people get to Hostile to fast

Our fighting days are over. You have to keep up verbally.
Then again, we don't bow up quite like we did when younger either. We just don't suffer fools well...... {not directed at you "dennycrane" btw}

For some, it isn't internet muscles, it's age. You don't give a flying frack what younger folks say, or what you say to them. {or anybody}

My experience.. if you're a tool and you're young. You don't last too long here.

But, imho, it's not really about age; anyone can be an asshat and at one time or another, most of us are.
I think it's really about churn; forums grow/age and members change. It happens on all forums.
The spirit of the OP was that BOTH old and new members need to work together.
Old(er) members need to show some courtesy and help new members find their way around. It ain't easy being new. SHARE information and you'll get respect.
New members need to respect that others have "been there and done that" and take some responsibility to find information that already exists. Be grateful that others are sharing with them and then pass it on.
I think that's all TRIOD3SIGNS was trying to get to. No need to read bad intentions into any of it.

I seem to be one of the minority that enjoys the occasional idiot thread/post where some moron makes a fool of themselves and we can all descend like a pack of wolves and rip them to shreds.

Can we have a sub-section of the 3G TL forum that's called "Introductions" or "New Members Post Here"?
Anyone new to the site or who wants buying advice can create a thread there, that way it's all contained in one area. I'm on two other forums and they have that section which I like quite a bit.

Very true BUT new members like to create new threads to introduce themselves. Making a new thread gives the new guys a chance to be personally welcomed to the site. Having them post in a thread that has people saying the same shit over and over isn't very appealing

Your last sentence is certainly predictable.
And "yes" to the pink poodle guy (or should I say "bro"), it took less than 4 months......
This site has been ongoing for quite a while, and doing well, so of course what one guy says really doesn't mean much. It certainly hasn't been enough to keep me from coming back, right? I just want it to be interesting. I digress........

I have.
But the ownership demographic of these cars, who visit online forums, is simply into cosmetic add-ons {plastic and blinky lights} and "hey look at my new car. What can I add on to it?".
No probs, just difference in demographics.
These are pretty nice cars for a younger driver. No question. And they don't have as many places to spend their $$$$ yet.
Was just politely mentioning the kinds of forum info that interests me. Nothing wrong with that, right?
