when ordering the a spec package from acura, does the car come in from japan and then they add, all the aspec parts???

 

no the car comes from Ohio and then they install it.

and should i ask for my stock suspensions back, since they come witht eh a spec suspension?

 

The TL is built in Ohio. The TSX and RL are built in Japan (I believe).

yea, you should tell them, that you want the stock suspesion and the stock wheels with tires if you are getting the a spec installed from the dealer.........they should also gibe you stock sides and the oem steering wheel.

The A-Spec body kit comes with front lip, back lip, and 2 side skirts. The front and back lip attaches to the original bumpers. The original side skirt is removed and then replaced by the A-Spec side skirt. So technically, you can ask for the 2 original stock side skirts as well.

In '06 the a-spec kit no longer comes with a steering wheel. Do get the stock rims and tires back however as you can either use them in the winter time or sell them on ebay to the many who have scratched up their rims..hehe.

The a-spec kit is not available from the factory, while it's an Acura OEM kit...it is 100% installed afterwards to a stock TL at the dealership, or you can do like many of us did and order the parts yourself for less online.

 

06 ASPEC kit does come with aspec steering wheel.
I just got mine yesterday.

and you get an upgraded brake pads. which doesn't really make a world of difference

 

the brake pad upgrade is only for the AT TLs, not the 6spd......just clearing it up.

A Spec consists of:

Body Kit (front lip, side skirts, read lip)
Steering wheel
Suspension (with emblem)
Wheels (18x8 with yokohama es100 tires)

and automatics get the upgraded performance front brake PADS, not entire new brakes

bringing this tread back to life..

it's been almost 3 years since i've purchased my acura... do you think i can still go back and ask for my stock wheels/tires and sides and steering wheel back? cuz that would save me a hell of a purchase for winter tires.

 

Sure, you could ask for anything, but I don't think you'd enjoy their reply after three years.

 

the TSX is built in japan becuz its the honda accord all over the world except here. the RL is the honda legend everywhere else but here.... the tl is the tl lol and only 20% of the parts are from japan like the engine tranny electrical harness computers sensors and some moving parts "bearings, hubs"

 

where can i buy an aspec kit (only want the front lip, rear lip, and side skirts) for my 2005 SSM?

 

get it from TIM 888-ray-laks he always hooks you up, hes a good guy too if you have 400 questions he's got 400 honest answers. I got mine from him SSM as well
