Sorry you had a shitty day....but like everyone on here says...learn from it!!! 3rd, 5th or 10th TL - losing 300 hard earned dollars is more of a hassle than spending an afternoon working on your car. Personally I love the satisfaction of knowing that I did something new - AND knowing I saved $$$ in the process. It can be a pain in the ass, especially if you dont have the tools...BUT...you are saving $$$.
I recently completely renovated my house and I had never done any real renos before. After receiving several quotes from contractors, I was surprised how quickly I learned to install hardwood floors, baseboards, doors etc.LOL! I borrowed tools from friends in the trades, got some tips and went to work. It took several months working in the evenings after work, but I saved THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!
Doing this allowed me to save some $$ and pick up my TL, and now I'm working on IT!! Sorry for the life story, but its just my![2 Cents](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/2cents.gif)

Three Wheelin'
im in queens too. So if you need a hand let me know.
...here's one story I have... I had to replace my tensioner pully for my serp belt. I went to a couple of shops, got some estimates but, not to my liking. I went to Barnes and Nobles on Austin st. Picked up a HAYNES book and tackled it myself. .....
.....and I had no bolts or nuts left over.......
but, yeah...sometimes you have to learn the hardway to gain some knowledge.

Most people don't realize that everything is work and there is overhead, employees to pay, taxes, utilities and for those who don't have the tools and space it would cost more to acquire those two than its worth.
