Post Ask for experiences about recolor

I just bought a Acura TL 2007 with black/parchment . I don't really like parchment. I want to find a way to recolor my car interior from parchment to black. I heard that almost car can do it but I want to ask for more details.Did anyone ever do that ?

I wouldn't consider any product that will change the color of the seats, as any scratches will have the parchment show through. Maybe door panels as I have seen those changed. If the color is not what you want, find a car with black and go for it. Maybe someone on here wants the parchment.

2008 Interior Acura TL --,4DS,BK,10-07,LEA Stk No K00991 Call LKQ of South Texas USA-TX(Houston) 1-800-460-8714

2008 Interior Acura TL BLACK LEATHER CHECK FIRTS Stk No 1634 Call AutoWorld Used Auto Parts USA-FL(Opa-Locka) 1-305-685-6033

I'd sit down when asking for a price, probably around $1000.

I mean it's rare around Alief, Houston. If they had it, the price goes up too much.

i have a WDP TL-s with the taupe interior when i originally wanted ebony/taupe or w.e. the ones with the 2 toned seats cost like 5k avg extra... so i said to myself screw it taupe isnt too bad and i havent regretted it ever since. it complements the black dash and doors nicely ihmo. i think black on black is too played out nowadays. i prefer to have colors to compliment it instead

the color might grow on you since the 07 taupe(parchment) isnt really too bad. much better over the 04-06 models but thats me

if you really hate that color then my sugguestion to you is maybe u can find some one who is willing to trade parts (locally preferred) or visit a junk shop or even find some one who totaled the front and just pay like a fraction of the price for them to part out the interior

if all else fails... stealerships as a last resort

DON'T DO IT. I will post pics of my recolor nightmare tomorrow. Trust me don't do it. It peels, it scratches, the perferated leather does not take the color well, and it looks like crap. You will be better off spend the money on replacement leather. Seriously don't you will ruin your perfectly good leather. I am in the process of buying parts to completely change mine to Black.

I think maybe I will have to accept it. I don't hate it but I don't like it. It's 3 years so the there are some black dots in my seat ( not much but 5-6). Maybe I will just find the way to recover it. I wanna see some pics from Toddy tomorrow .
