So I've been constantly looking for threads talking about changing the dashboard, but so far I've only seen ones that describe cots of repai from 2009, 2010.

What I'm trying to do is replace my dashboard which on its own + passenger airbag on it is about $450 off of ebay...

What I'm looking for is anyone who had recently replaced their entire dashboard in a non-acura shop or perhaps even an acura dealer with their own dashboard.

What was the cost of installation? Maybe theres someone who in general had to replace a dashboard for any kind of car around Chicago and could point me in the right direction before i start making calls for quotes to shops or even commit to buying a new dashboard but then paying 3 times its price for installation.

Has anyone maybe tried uninstalling an old dashboard and putting it in themselves?

Basically the reason why I'm doing it is because my passenger airbag deployed (thanks to a snowplow backing into my right side sensors) and siliconing the problem doesnt seem to hold up in this summer heat thus forcing me to use a dash cover.

Shouldn't the operator of the snowplow be paying the damages?
