Anyone need\want Brembo's?

Not sure how good of a deal this is, but I found this on eBay tonight and figured I'd pass it on to you all here. Maybe someone will benefit from it:

pretty good price.but you'll need alot more than just the calipers. i did the swap myself, also got it off ebay. you will need knuckles,lines/flex hoses, brackets for flexhose to knuckle, caliper to knuckle shim, rotors, hubs and bearings(may re-use old one), and possibly speed sensors if they become seized in the original knuckles.

I did the swap as well if you think you can just buy calipers, you are in for a big surprise. There is a LOT more involved.

why do people insist on posting ebay finds that are not the right thing for our cars?

I can understand if you KNOW you have found a killer deal,,,but if you are not the guru of that part on azine...its probably too good to be true,, and just waste bandwidth and get people excited over nothing

I can paint your car for 99.95 too!!!!
but there may be some drawbacks like- no prep work included and we use house paint on a brush~ lol

Well if he didnt know it was not the right thing then he wouldn't have posted it. Why do you have to be an ass and "waste bandwidth" by posting when his intentions were good. Screw it, let me go to ebay and go find some deals just so I can piss you off.

wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade to BBK from a different company like willwood, stoptech or rotora since for one it would be more unique, much better looking and much better performance for a similar price.

For the most part yes, the reason I got the brembos was because I got every part necessary for $500. I paid $500 for not just calipers, I also got rotors, knuckles, hubs, lines everything needed to do the swap. Now that was an actual deal.

I was just wondering, do those TL-S brembo calipers work for the rear?

I think 01TL4TL was implying that its alot more work than just changing out calipers on a non brembo car to convert it to brembo, and would be cheaper to just buy a BBK kit like wilwood. IDK though

now this jsut got really interesting.. I believe it CAN work, just because i seen 4-pots in the rear before and they look like they are the same size as the fronts..

Correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm very curious right now.

btw, how big are the fronts? in mm's? TIA

the rear brakes dont need to be larger- more grip just encourages the rear end to come around on hard braking
70% of the braking is done with the fronts

You can paint calipers and brackets black~ paint BIMBO on them

for real info contact Excelerate- he says the Wilwood 6 pot/pistons calipers are a better deal than trying to upgrade to brembo 4 piston

If you find a complete package deal - sure post it for others!
If you KNOW the subject matter at hand and that its a real deal

I read his post as they wouldn't fit/don't work with the car. I just assumed everyone knew you couldn't just swap the calipers and that you needed other parts.

Personally, I thought the calipers were a little pricey given what I've seen them go for in the BM. Silly auto recyclers...they think if they list something for less than it would cost from a dealer that people will think it's a deal.

Dealerships sells calipers for almost 800 in certain places. Delray acura sells them for about 600 or a bit less. These calipers here are in pretty good damn condition with pads that have more than enough life left.. the guy selling these doesn't know how to judge pad life.

I had a swap calipers because the old ones had clear coat peeling problems. For anyone that has this problem and doesn't want to re-finish the calipers themselves well this is for you. For those that want to do the swap well... IF you buy the calipers new from acura YOUR still going to pay more than this price. Why not save some money and get these... That's how you guys need to look at it. Does it work with our Cars.. well yes if you buy the rest of the parts to make them fit.

How is this not the right thing for our cars? I never posted claiming there was an entire BBK for sale on eBay. Simply calipers that someone might want to buy that will work. Yes there are alot more parts to this, but I never suggested that there weren't.

Oh, and I apologize for wasting so much bandwith. I forgot how utterly precious it is right now. Maybe you shouldn't have wasted any bandwidth with your rediculous complaint.

I'm terribly sorry to all those I offended...
