Anyone looking for a low mileage '08 Type S?

Exceptionally low mileage with some mods.

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/2961911821.html

Thought someone might want to pick this up.

If I am looking to buy a Type S, I wouldn't stay away from that car because all of the mods that owner put into it. $32500 I can buy alot of thing that are better in performance such as used E92 M3 market price $33,000-$45,000 under 80k miles and Lexus ISF $40,000-$50,000 under 80k miles, I am pretty sure that the two cars I mentioned will get more head turning than that TL-S, I love the Type S but not for that price. It just IMO

It is a little pricey, but again very low mileage and this is Azine and members prefer the Type S. Again just sharing for those who might be looking.
The cars you mention are nice but even more money again.

idk about Azine members prefer this type of Type-S. If Im looking for a clean car i would be looking for a car that have never been modified especially if it a car that has a very low mileages. To a point i dont even want the car to be tinted. Yes i would rather get it tint myself. I tend to stay away from cars that are low mileage for it ages that have been modified, light or heavy.

I think dude is a little off on install time for his mods.. unless he had no clue wtf he was doing..

Front Lip, Rear Lip and Side Rocker Panels$ $ 1,021.95 (12 hrs Installation 9-27-09)
License Plate LED Lamps- $ $55.53 (2 Hours Installation 4-09

12 hours for A-spec kit? 2 hours for license plate LEDs? Wtf?

He lists oil changes as a "mod" as if he expects to get that money back when he sells the car.

Also, I can get those license plate bulbs online for $12. That guy is completely unrealistic...

You beat me to it... I saw the 2 hours for licent plate LED and was like "WTF?"

With that said, there are people out there that would buy pre-modded cars. I remember a local Honda dealer back in TX would have dealer-modded Civic Si's (with aftermarket parts, not even OEM) with low miles for sale with a much inflated price. People would buy it.

I wouldn't buy the TL just because I want to put the sweat and money into it. Half of the fun is talking about what a PITA it was to do X or how long it took you to do Y. You lose that with a premodded car. And you never know if they took shortcuts while modding.

I'll never understand why someone would buy a brand new car, own it for 4 years and only manage to put 8k miles on it? I mean, if it's an exotic car maybe, but a TL?

He spent more time modding his car than driving it. I'm surprised he isn't charging for how much gas he put into the car.

I saw many members here install the A-spec kit for the first time and it took around 4 hours, how the hell he spend 12 hours in installation. this guy expect the buyer to pay for every thing, I wouldn't surprise that he probably want to charge the buyer for destination delivery when the car was new LOL.

yeah, the dudes crazy. I can see a 4, maybe even a 6 hour install by someone who has never done it before, but 12 hours? majority of his "mods" are inflated in price and hours. gonna need a miracle to sell it for 32k lol...

If it was a typo and he meant 23k instead, I'd be more than willing to take the car off his hands!

KBB on an '08 with 7,000 miles in Excellent condition doesn't even touch $28,000. Too bad all of the 'mods' he listed don't add value to the car.

& his taste in mods...

$32k? Yea right.

Not to mention those headlights are enough to make some people not even consider it.

I'd pass on this one.

Also, I guess he'll be sticking to the Sonata that he has parked there.

I can't see the craigslist ad here at work but if someone's seriously considering it, I wouldn't mind taking a look at it in person.

@ 12 hour install for A-spec kit

agree with most that the price is definitely too high. but if you can get the price down to KBB vicinity, I think this is a steal in terms of quality. headlights should be just a tint film so easily removable. he didn't really 'mod' anything, he bought lots of accessories for the vehicle and that's it. didn't touch the engine/suspension or anything for that matter as far as he's reporting on his listing.

it's practically a brand new car and it is obvious that he took great/meticulous care of the car. garage kept, detailing, etc. when buying used cars we always speculate on how the owner cared for it. not much speculation needed in this case, check it out in person to see if what he lists matches up in person. i'm sure eventually he will understand that pricing doesn't work like that and he will have to lower it to kbb prices. but whoever does pick up the car for KBB price, IMO will be getting what looks like an almost brand new 3G Type S in amazing shape. I bet the seats look brand new too =P

he might even be an AZ member??

What cracks me up is that he's counting oil changes as mods... heh.

And mods that clearly doesn't exist... (splash guards that took 4 hours install)

Don't forget the wax jobs over the past 4 years added into the price....

Maguire's Paint Hand Glaze Seal & Carnauba
Wax- 9 coats over past 4 years $ 14.95 ( 5 hours sealing and waxing)
