Anyone know what HPT means?
I am picking up my 6MT Black on Black TL tomorrow and the guy I go through who finds me cars said that it is a 2004 Acura TL HPT? Has anyone heard of this? My guy said that it was a specific king of TL but I thought there was just the same TL and no Type S, etc?

Yes, it is what JBX35 said, but you should note, that these are sticker 3 season tires (NOT WINTERS) so if you live where it snows, you will have to get snow tires as the 3 season tires do not work in winter, and the rubber gets hard so it is easier to skid.
I prefer 3 season tires, with snows in the winter, as they work so well, where all seasons are more of a trade off of performance in the summer, and the winter (not as good on ice or deep snow).
Acura even posts a higher G level for the HPT tires which are Bridgestone also, but Potenza RE030 vs a touring tire Turanza EL42.
You can get a good set of snows for less than $150 each, it will be worth it.
I plan on using my all-seasons in the winter, with 3 seasons the rest of the year!

Do yourself a favor and get a snows/wheels package, all balanced and ready to bolt on. The savings in mounting/balancing 2X per year will pay for the wheels, and besides, frequent mounting increases risk of damage to wheels or tires. You can swap in fall and spring on your own. tirerack.com

Thanks!!! I also have the 18" rims that I plan on putting on in the spring. If I keep changing tires will it screw up my alignment. I was planning on just jacking the car up and doing it myself. I am not worried about the summer tires in the snow becuase I have been driving on Bridgestone Potenza's on my Prelude through the past 5 winters and have not had any problems. And that was an automatic car, I am sure this 6 speed will handle better.
