Anyone know how to link the Remote

Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time. The LED will blink twice to show the remote is linked, once when it is not linked.
This is not easy to find in the manual, but it is on page 86, middle column.
I'm not being sarcastic, it is really not easy to find.
