Anyone have Service Manual Scans? (Time for a Warranty War!)

In short, I am going to war with the dealership tomorrow, does anyone have access to the HFL pages from the manual? It's pages 22-440 through 22-450 or thereabouts.

I agree
My friend is a acura service manager that goes out his way to be helpful. I am sure if you approach him with an attitute without giving him a change you will not get far. Want respect-give it.

Oh, believe me, I am absolutley going to be highly respectful, kinda, and polite with the matter. I NEVER approach, well, anyone whom I am at the mercy of with nothing but the utmost humility and respect. 'More bees with honey...', as the adage goes.

Whats the situation or car problem-dealer problem etc?
Ok, so, my HFL has been on the fritz for some time now, and I never took it in to get it resolved...and I almost held off, but could not resist, holding off on the LED install.

So I took the car in to have the CA bushings replaced and the HFL replaced. When they examined the panel, they saw the LEDs, and 'claimed' that this caused the mic to fry.

So I bought a replacedment mic...AND tried my brothers (who also owns a TL)...same deal. My equipment works fine in his car, but not in mine. Dealer claims everything worked fine with a mic from a different TL. But here's the deal: my HFL works INTERMITTENTLY. Of course it was working when I brought it in. Some days the mic works, others...not so much.

So, I searched through the service manual and found that the HFL/mic and LED lighting are powered through the same 22-pin harness, but NOT the same power source, ergo, the LEDs could provide no ill effect without shutting the entire circuit down, NOT just a localized item.

...now I gotta prove that to them.

What year is your TL? Are you aware of the two HFL TSBs? One for 04 and one for 06-08...

I can't believe they even are trying that BS LED claim. Totally BS...

I know there is one for the '04, do you know where the 06 TSB is?

Yeah, believe me, I'm not too happy about it, I HATE having to do additional leg work due to ignorance of a particular subject matter.

Haha, warranty war! I just started my own actually!

Same as you, I tried to be nice, helpful, etc.

But when they don't want to helpl you from the get go, and then start lying to your face....time to escalate it!
