Anyone has EL42 0504? Are they with TU2 or PVC?
Built date could be between the end of Feb and the middle of March.
Thanks...

rets-is it true you are posting a $10,000 reward for info leading to the elusive 0504. Any takers?

It's possible that certain weeks don't exist in the production codes. They may not produce EL42s continuously. One week, it might be these, and another week another Bridgestone (or even Firestone?) model. Or one week the size for the TL, other weeks, other sizes of EL42s. Or, they might cease production if they are overstocked, or for a while when they "recompounded" the tires.
I still haven't seen a good explanation of what was changed on this tire. Are the belts different, e.g., no more nylon? What do the current (new version) sidewalls say about belt composition?

Hybrid, you may be right. We ever thought about 0504 could be nonexistent. Out of my curiosity, I really like to know if no one has this tire. Let's see.
I haven't obtained or read any related info about how Bridgestone has compounded this NEW EL42 for 04TL. The link above has some info about sidewalls. That's all I know so far.

Everything is the same except they changed the tread compound. The belts, etc are still the same as before. The district service manager came out to my house today to drive my flatspotting tired car. He told me the original tires were designed to optimize the handling of the car but then they found out about the flatspotting problem so they changed the makeup of the tread compound to reduce the flatspotting.
rets-just kidding. This forum is getting too serious so I thought I would lighten it up a little.
