Early in the movie when the Ethan Hunt character (Tom Cruise) goes into the liquor store, the camera just had to be at a low angle where it went across the back of a TL before he entered the store. The TL was shown in so much detail, you could read the TL emblem and even read the license plate on it.

I wonder if Acura had to pay for this spot? Anyone else who watched the movie notice it?

 

its definitely a plug. Acura paid for that undoubtedly.

 

I thought it was pretty cool, I'm guessing it was the other agents car. It was 7/11 that they were parked at...

my girlfriend was like HEY THATS YOUR CAR!

 

My friend said that he sees TL everywhere now a days while we were driving to the movie theater and then we end up seeing it again in MI3

 

Definitely noticed it... I was like "That's my ride!"

 

Yeah I seen it too!!! I was like whoaa... that's my car!!! Too bad they didn't show the agent guy driving off. That would of been sweet!!

you know, we might just be a wee bit hypersensitive to to seeing the TL...nobody said anything about the Lamborghini being a plug...or any of those other nice cars inside the vatican...

I think we're getting hypersensitive because it's similar to one of our friends being an extra in a movie. Lambos, Ferraris, etc are in movies practically all the time. During the scene where the bridge got blown up, wouldn't it have been better if Ethan Hunt got in a 6MT TL instead of that prissy-looking Mercedes Benz convertable? :ghey:

In the "Matrix Reloaded," Cadilac must have paid some royalties bigtime for allowing their cars to get shot up.
