Anyone bought a new 08 recently?
I am looking for a TL and I was looking at an 06 or 07 but I was wanting to find out how much dealers are coming down on the new 08's now. Anyone out there bought an 08 recently or since the 09's have come out?

Thats kinda what I was curious about. I figured they would be coming down even more now that the 09's are actually out now. Just not sure if the price difference between a used 06-07 and a new 08 would be very much or not.

shop around
i would lease if i was you because the residual value is low, so youll be paying less money and you can change your mind if you decide to buy it out in three years

I dont know much about leasing as compared to buying. You arent able to mod at all are you unless you intend to buy. Is that true?

I just picked up a 08 Type-S for $33K last Saturday before the new 09's came out...i could have probably waited until the 09's came out to get a cheaper price but the problem is the supply is running out. All the dealerships were sold out in San Diego and I wanted a Black/Black TL-S and the only one left in California that was near was in Mission Viejo so I drove up to get it and jumped on the deal...I'm happy with the price but more importantly, I got the car/color I wanted and the Type-S is worth every penny...

I passed on the TL-S cuz there are no more 6sp around my neck of the woods.
Lease is just a bad idea overall, unless you have your own business (that's leasing the car for you), or you're just filthy rich to begin with. Sure it's nice to feel like you're forced to buy (lease) a new car every 3-4 years, but that's not the best way to manage one's finances. And given how the sh!t is hitting the fan on Wall St., well... you do the math.
Again, if you've got a business you can write off on for the car or just flat out rich, disregard my worthless rambles on leasing.
Back on topic, go get yourself your TL(-S). Better get one fast else you'll be left with the color combo you swore you would never drive.

i had a g35 sedan leased for two years before i had the tl, i did mod it from wheels to exhaust, i got a lot of things....unless you wana supercharged your tl fully customize your car, you should lease because how ever you mod your car you still gona sell it if not in three years then in 4-5... and take it apart...

Stock is getting very limited and dealers are not swapping.
Most dealers are offering BOTH 0.9% financing and $3500 cash back until the end of the month.
I paid $28,686 OTD in Maryland for base TL with 13 miles on it.

$33,849 about a month ago. White/Taupe Type-S. The selection is dwindling fast. Only one Type S left (KBP) on the lot when I picked mine up. I got lucky and snagged this one off the car carrier. FWIW, I had a dealer tell me that he wanted to keep a few of the 2008's just in case someone wanted a deal on a TL since they would not budge on the 2009....

I just purchased a Non-Navi '08 TL today, for $27,850 (before tax/fees). This includes direct-to-dealer $3500 cash back and 0.9% for 36 months! You can also choose 2.9% for up to 60 months if you wish.
It's a great deal; my dealer only had three TLs left so I assume you might not get the color combo you want. Go quick!

UP in Canada, cars are more expensive.
A baseline TL 08 runs for 52G all in freight and taxes.
I was able to get it down to 40G all in, so I bought.
It was much cheaper then an TSX 09.
I bought this in early September. You should move fast. Shop around and even look out of the city, and I bet you can make a killer deal if you find a TL that you want

my god haha. I got my 08 base for 28.6 ish before TTL early august. How the heck did you get that price out the door?! I wonder if it would have made a difference if i waited some more

Wow, looks like its a good time to buy.
Anyone know what the current October mfg to dealer incentive is or how I would find it? The website I used to track prices showed a 3k incentive on '08s for September, but now it's showing nothing.

I was about to pick up an '08 TL w/Navi new for 28,343$ before TTL, but a family issue came up and I couldn't... I'm hoping that I can get one new in a couple of months from now, because that is when I will have the money to buy one again...
But if you deal with the internet sales dept. and get a couple of dealers to fight over you that is how you can get an amazing price, like the one that I got, and btw that is how I got that price. And especially now with the '09's sitting on the floor. A month ago it was a different story, but now...

At that price, it is less than $2k more than a fully loaded new Accord. What is steal? I very much doubt you will be able to get an 08 a few months from now, because at this price they would likely be sold quickly. Whatever remains at that time is likely a demo with a color combo you will not like.

Purchased via internet mngr at the dealer. I live in Northern VA (low tax 3.17% and $90 proc fee) where we have several large dealerships in North VA, S MD and DL and I narrowed it down between 2 dealers and they both were competitive. I drove 2 hours to pick up my TL in South MD. Also got splash guards, trunk tray and all the other goodies. Cash deal. Even the F&I mngr was a little surprised at the price they let the car go at. I worked every angle and went deep into the $674 holdback and ad money. They still made a small profit and moved the inventory and everyone was happy. Just be cool and patient (although inventories are running low) and now especially since car retail sales droped an industry wide 30% in August / September, eveyone is hurting and needs to move metal.
