Anybody's stolen TL from New York?...

So I was looking at salvage tls and came across this one.. It seems to be from the New York area. It was stolen and stripped and then burned. Just wanted to share and see if the owner was here on acurazine...

I'm pretty surprised people are bidding on it. I can't Imagine there would be anything of value left on the car other than a few hundred dollars in scrap steel.

I wonder why ppl are bidding on it to. There really isn't anything there that could be of value.

Interesting site. Obviously that bid is bogus. You have TL's that actually have salvage value that are going for only hundreds of dollars. Probably like ebay only worse and that is not saying much.

The site is 100% legit. With that being said, the bids are def not bogus. There is still a lot of time before it ends. And there are other fees that you have to add in.

Seems likely. It looks like none of a plethora of very valuable parts (like the navi) were stripped before the car was torched. The amount of fire damage on the car seems to rule out a simple accidental fire too. It's as if the thing was doused in gasoline or hit with a flamethrower, lol.

So why would someone steal the car, and then burn it to a crisp without taking anything valuable off the car? Seems fishy.

IDK why. The fire probably burned off all the corrosion protection (as evidence by the rust) and the heat probably damaged the metal. I don't think anything on that car car really be re-used.
