BTW, Wyman, how's the NBP keeping up in this cruddy weather? I've been washing the car once a week, and the car is never looking clean for more than 2 days after. Vancouver and black cars do not mix!

I've only got 1500 km on this baby and washed it about 10 times this winter. In fact just washed it today while the sun is out. Normally I run it thru the touchless wash in NVan (open 24hrs!).
Vancouver winters sure bite!

Just washed my WDP today...not sure what for since it's going to rain all bloody week and weekend. But the Zaino coat still keeps it soft even after 2 months of winter weather. Ah gotta love Vancouver.

Also, someone mentioned Zaino. Is this a wax or polymer coat? I need to check it out.

Yeah, check it out. It's undeniably an absolute pain in the ass to apply - takes a good 4-5 hours if you want to do 2-3 coats but if you have a dark coloured car...it makes all the difference. For my white TL...it's not bad - you get that wet look - super soft feel and very good protection. And you only need to do it twice a year...maybe 3 times if you don't mind. Let me know if you're interested - I only know of one place that sells it and yes...it is polymer based so a little goes a heck of a long way...unfortunately you can't use a rotary wax applicator - you end up wasting the solution and applying too much increasing the drying time.
Don't know much about the touchless car washes that use high pressure and chemicals. The high pressure works but doesn't clean all that well...hence the need for some sort of strong base chemical - There's probably a lot worse you can put on your car but avoid them if I can. The one thing I do like about the touchless car washes is the pressure wash of the undercarriage. I can't get at that otherwise.

How much did you get yours for? Im looking for the same options...
or anyone else buy a 2006 6MT w/ navi recently? I know some of the dealers are trying to get rid of them, and hopefully pick up one for a good price
