Has anyone ever tried to duplicate a 04 -06 tl key with a Honda/Acura T5 key where you can just copy the key code from one to the other instead of dealer programing it? I use to do this with my Hondas and it worked fine but couldnt find any info on if it works with the 04-06 TL.

I doubt it would work since the immobilizer keys already have a code in them, you have to program the car to accept it. But then again, honda has surprised us in the past so it's worth a shot.

I doubt it will work also, maybe the older generation tl's. I remember on my 97 prelude i was able to use T5 keys to copy existing working key's code over to it make it believe the car was using the same key when i had about 5 keys which are all done the same way. T5 keys arent cant be programed by the dealer and must be copied from a working key.

I was think about doing the switchblade key mod and didnt wanna mess up any existing keys with out a back up plan.
