Any tranny problems in 3G?

Friends,

I have a 2005 with 25K miles on it. I follow the MID for all service work. I'm trying to decide if I need an aggressive tranny oil change schedule given the 2nd gen's historic problems with transmissions.

I've read the Road Rage articles and understand his recommendations.

My question: Is anyone having transmission problems with their 3G TL if they are following the MID for transmission oil changes?

Thanks,

Sanjiv

My 05/navi is in service right now with some Torque bearing change. It was whining, and some gasket in the tranny was leaking.

nope, only a select few have had tranny issues. The AT transmission is now much better than the 2g ones.

I agree withe csmeance, Thank god! From reading about the 2G, the transmission was Horrible!! Ive read about people changing there trannies twice before even hitting 60k. But yeah back on topic, barely any transmission problems in the 3G, atleast in the forums.
