Question Any 6MT/NAVI on Dealer Lots

Hi eveyone,
I'm ready to make the move on an '04 TL. Does anyone know of any dealerships in the Boston, MA or Hartford, CT area or any where in the northeast as far south as Pennsylvania with 6MT/NAVI '04 TLs on their lots? As you can see I'm willing to travel a litte to get this car.

A 6MT Navi? You better be willing to travel from the east coast to just about anywhere for that rare beast...my guess is that every 6MT Navi coming into a dealer is already pre-sold before it hits the lot.

Want the car now? Part with the Navi.

Really need the Navi and 6MT? Better get your name on a list, my friend.

I ordered my 6MT/Navi back on Jan 5th. It was built last week, and is supposedly on it's way to the dealership. It's definitely a long wait if you are stuck on 6MT/Navi AND a specific color combo.

I'm flexible on the the color combo, but I definitely want 6MT/NAVI.

My dealer located a 6MT/navi in the color combo I wanted (NBP/Ebony), delivered it in under 2 weeks, and handed me keys to a loaner for the wait. A motivated salesperson can get it done if he or she is willing to make the effort.

Definitely can be done, my suggestion would be to check out CarsDirect if you aren't having any luck with your local dealers. I talked to every dealer within 45 miles personally and no one offered to help except to order a car and have it arrive within 3-4 months. Carsdirect searched all of CA and found me a car within 1 week in the exact color combo that I wanted, only thing missing was the HPT option (of which I'll replace myself when the new wheels arrive). It can definitely happen if you don't want to wait, but definitely check out carsdirect.

Like a previous post said, a motivated dealer can find you any car.

Supposedly a 6mt with Navi in the NY\NJ area is hard to find.

Well I got the color combo I wanted and it took 1 week. The dealer was ready sooner, but I was not. So it can be done.

The dealer should be able to find any color\combo and options, he just has to be willing to work out a swap with other dealers.

I bought the car from Ramsey, Acura and it was probably the easiest car buying process yet. Lloyd was my salesman.

Good luck.

Talking Dang...I must have gotten lucky!!!

I went 2 months ago down to my local Acura dealer in Vegas (the only one in Vegas), and asked about the 3.9% they were offering and availability etc. They kept trying to make me buy it then (in Jan) as navi models are SO RARE. Total fluff. I told them I still needed to shop the Maxima, G35, as well as Escalade, Denali, 530i, etc. They had a NBP/Ebony 6MT & Navi on the lot, no money down, no waiting, ready and avail.

Well, I went back a month later at the beginning of Feb, and LOW AND BEHOLD, another "ultra-rare" NBP/Ebony 6MT & NAVI was on the lot AGAIN! not the same car. It was again available. I made sure to point out to the salesperson how STRANGE it was that in two months, two identical ultra-rare cars just HAPPENED to be there and available. She was starting her angling and sales pitch on the "exclusivity" of the NAV, and the build-out percentage. Well, i had went online and contacted several dealerships in CA and got them to email me availability and PRICING on 6MT/NAVI cars. Guess what, I found 4 more within 200 miles and dealers were entertaining BELOW MSRP offers. I came prepared so they couldnt pull the crap on me they pulled on me in 98 when I bought the GEN II TL.

Well, I ended up getting them down to 34500 on the car w/ 6spd manual, NAVI, NBP/Ebony, Tint, Wheel locks, Summer Tires, etc. They had orginally added 1200 on the sticker as dealer mark-up due to limited availability, as well as this desert protection package crap for 900 bucks. the sticker of the car was close to 38K. I told them they were nuts. Ended up getting 4.9% for 5 years @ 34500 + tax.

For an "ultra-rare" and exclusive car to get, I got a pretty good deal me-thinks. The moral of the story: COME PREPARED, show dealers other cars near that are available and selling BELOW MSRP, and thell them u can get the car elsewhere if they are not willing to deal or find you the EXACT CAR you want. Don't fall into the dealer trap.

Only thing Im now pissed about is the A-SPEC pkg now available. I couldve financed that damn pkg into the price of the car and beat em up some more. Oh well, Im ordering Comptech Springs and Injen CAI this week. Next, aftermarket rims and A-SPEC kit only, not the A-SPEC wheels/tires.

TL-Rocket,

My dealer's on-line inventory shows they have an anthricite/6MT/Navi in stock. Probably from a deal that fell through.

Call Anthony Meed at Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY (Westchester)
Toll free: 866-491-1024 ext 104

curryacura.com

Tell him you heard about it on the forum.

Good luck

You're welcome!

Anyone considering a Red/6MT/Navi, you might be interested to know that Curry just added 2 of them to their on-line inventory today. You have to call to find out the interior(s).
