Another Satisfied Raxles Customer!

Hello again,
You may have seen a post of mine earlier about a clicking sound my 06 TL was making. I have heard other cars CV shafts click before but my sounded different so I wasn't sure if that was it or not. I went ahead and decided to replace it anyway just because it was leaking. I went with Raxles because of all the good reviews, not just here but on other sites as well. My manual front left axle wasn't cheap at $180 with shipping but I didn't feel like risking a redo if there was any possible wobble on another cheaper axle. This was the nicest axle I have ever seen and it included the dampener. Sorry, I don't have pics as my phone was in my wife's car. The job was about 1 hour and pretty easy. Marty was awesome and with a lifetime warranty, you really can't go wrong.

I don't know what Raxles is (assuming it is a shop), but glad they took care of you!

I'm assuming it's a shop located in the KC area, but like Champs, never heard of it.

Sorry, I should have explained. No, it's a shop out of Florida that takes OEM core Axles and remanufactures them with very nice hardware. If you ever need a CV, the $69.99 one down at Advance usually has a some low sped vibrations however, some people on the forum have had good luck with those. I didn't want to risk it. There are a lot of people on the forum that have used Raxles and I am one. You are basically getting an Acura shaft for half price.

If you notice the torn boot before the axle goes bad, you can always just replace the boots with new ones from Acura or Honda. It's well worth the trouble to keep & maintain a top quality driveshaft.

Of course the job is very messy and you need a special boot-banding tool ($15), so it's not for everybody. I've done two so far, and it's definitely a pain. But it's nice to know you won't have any vibration issues with your CV shafts.
