Another rattle source

I've been battling against all the rattles near the dash area lately.

When I drive uphill or experience lack of power, I hear vibration coming right in front of me. It turns out a little plastic piece (see the arrow) where the wiper switch is located is the source. Try to tap the whole wiper switch assembly with your finger. If you hear a rattle, it is that little plastic piece. I am going to apply some crazy glue on the damn thing this weekend.

I Found A Brand New Rattle!!!!!

All this time, I thought my rattle was coming from my center speaker or my front driver's side speaker on the dash (I don't know the name, maybe tweeter?)...anyways.....I got the foam tape and taped the center speaker thing...and so it shouldn't have rattled...but it was still sam rattles....so i was getting frusterated....then just like an hour ago...I was driving with a friend to the gym and I asked him to see if he can find the rattle...because I get the rattle when I start off on 2nd gear and in 3rd gear when i slow down and reaccelerate...so we're both bent forward trying to find one of the rattles while driving and then i notice it's coming from the dash somewhere...and then I get frusterated so I tapped my steering wheel and notice that it's making the rattle sound...but it's not my steering wheel...i tap around where the plastic area behind the steering wheel...and realize that it's coming from my windshield wiper thing...the pole or whatever you call it...it's coming from the tip of it...and when I drive and try to replicate it...all i have to do is put my finger on top of it to stop the rattle......

now my question is...is there a DIY to fix the tip of the windshield wiper on and off thing to stop it from rattling?

Very nice post! That's how I found out about it. I am going to put a tiny amount of crazy glue. For a temp. fix, just cut out a thin layer of paper (black color would work well) and jam it in between the housing and the little plastic cover.
