The TL and the J series are always a safe bet for reliability. For what it's worth, mine has never consumed a drop of oil, well at least never a measurable amount. Its had a 5w-30 since it had 2k miles and the higher NOACK and HTHS will almost guarantee there will be no oil consumption, at least not past the rings. I highly doubt the 4g had any actual oil consumption issues.
