I ran over something on the highway today. I saw it, but it didn't register and I ran over it. Don't know what it was but it smacked my front bumper. It looks like it stripped off the clear coat. There's a mark there but it's a dull silver (mine is SSM). Maybe one of those clear coat pens will help.

I'm going to have to adjust to this somehow or I'm gonna go nuts. I'm aware of every freakin mark on this car! I hear every pebble that hits the windshield. I can't believe I didn't change lanes to avoid whatever that was!

This is my first new car. It's certainly not my first car. I've had 7 used cars before this one. But I've never been more aware of every incident, no matter how small. I don't know if they're occurring more frequently on the TL or I'm just more aware.

I need help.

I can relate to your concerns and over done anxiety. I have found myself adjusting my driving patterns to this wonderful machine. It is a lower profile vehicle than my last ones. In addition with its high rear end judging distance when backing was at first a bit tricky. Try to relax and enjoy your new car. Learn about your new boundaries and characteristics of the TL and drive....drive....and then drive somemore.
