Another BMW Encounter
Was just reading the other thread about the 5 series...the one with the high-larious line, "...must've had the lid off his caramel macchiato." Classic.
I have a friend who has the new 6 convertible- 645? 635? and we live right by eachother & wide open 2 lane roads abound around. I have the 2003 TL-S- no mods yet- and we are a perfectly even match from a dead stop/ from 30mph up to 120 shutdown. While he does have a notable amount of HP & torque on me, the weight difference cannot be ignored.
Still working on him to trade keys for a few runs , but understand his hesitance- my car is 250/mo and his is 1400/mo

With high monthly payments on a vehicle, I'd try to keep it in the best condition possible. Most BMW owners don't even purchase their cars, I think stats say that over 75% of BMW drivers Lease. Hell, if I had to give my car back to dealer that'd knock off $2000 in trade in value for a measley dent in the fender, I'd keep that sucker clean.
OF course... it could be just be the fact that most BMW drivers are older people.
