Annoying speaker buzzzz from Bluetooth.

I have the SonyEricsson T610 phone and no matter how low I turn the volume I continue to hear a BUZZZZZ sound from the speakers when I’m on a conversation with someone.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on what I can do to get rid of this?

I am not having this problem at all
then again I don't have bluetooth (Verizon)
I guess there was no need to respond, eh, not my style

I tested a friends phone fine
try deleting your phone and re-pair it to the car
also make sure you test it when you have good signal strength to make sure it isn't static
Transfer the call back to the handset and see if there is a slight buzz

It's probably a GSM phone? I've experienced it with Motorola and Siemens GSM phones.

Try placing the phone on a seat or away from your radio/dashboard. My interference stops when I move it away from the dash - it is really bad if I place the phone in one of the storage compartments on the dash...

I found the top compartment of the center console (under the arm rest)works real well...they even provided a way to route the power up from the plug in the bottom half.

...The only problem I have is remember to take the phone with me when I leave the car.

You are correct. It is a GSM phone and I do put it in the dashboard area (sunglass hole). Any idea why the dashboard is causing this problem?

Aggie: It has something to do with the xmit/receive signal band of the phone. When I have my phone anywhere near electronic speakers (with power on) there is an ocassional, beep, beep noise (I think this is when the phone is communicating with the tower).

Also, this is why cell phones are not allowed in Hospitals and aircraft - they really can create electronic interference. I'd suggest what WickedWiz recommended....

Thanks Mattwood. I'll definitely try that.

I wonder if this is only with the T610. Mot V600 seems to be ok for a lot of people.

I thought a firmware update for the SE 610 fixed this problem? Does anyone remember that thread?

The phone types that I have:

Motorola T720 (not bluetooth capable)
Siemens S56 (bluetooth)

Both create the interference with Radio (probably just affects AM programming)... Just keep the phone away from the receiver....

I have the T608, and don't have anything other than normal digital phone crackling when I keep it in the cup holder. I haven't tried it in the front compartment, though.
