Looks like the ratings are based solely on sales alone- not value, not reliability, not dealership experience, and not depreciation. No wonder a Chrysler 300 would be rated higher- it gets some of those fleet sales that the other models don't.

It looks like a large clump of models rest in the 3000-4000 sales per month category so the TL could move up easily if it received a face & butt lift and some added features.

At least the TL beat the 5 Series, the less-expensive TSX and Genesis. There were a few other models I would have expected in the top-15: Buick Lucerne, Infinity M, and Lexus G or L so all was not lost.

Just to give you an idea of how stupid this report is, they have the Toyota Avalon listed as a luxury car yet the new Nissan Maxima is completely absent from the list.

If anything should be on this list is the Maxima, especially since loaded, it comes with full luxury sedan features that others cars in its price range don't. Regardless, it sells very well, typically between 5-7k units a month.

Agreed. IMO, ES looks ugly. It's oriented towards older people.

TL is a sports luxury, since it has a type-s n all. I think luxury vehicles are just that... luxury. like the 7 series beener, or the audi A8 and maybe the avalon??

but cars like the TL type-s and 3er's are , IMO sports luxury.
