I didn't even know it had ambient lighting there. Mine don't light up. Is there a way to turn them off and on? Do they only come on at night? Everything in that console works fine but they ambient leds don't seem to light up. The only thing I found in the service manual is that if they don't light up, to replace the whole console. I don't fucking think so Acura! It probably cost like $500 or more. Anyone have this problem? Info? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

They are small LEDs which light up when the parking lights are turned on. They are soldered directly to the circuit board, which is why Acura will just want to replace the whole unit. I'm not sure of specs on the LEDs (resistor values, etc) since I chose not to replace them when I was doing my LED replacement project.

 

Its a 2008 base TL with Navigation. Hmmm...but they don't even light up when the parking or headlights are on. It's probably not that big of a deal, since I've had the car for a year now and never knew there was ambient lighting there. Ha ha. But now that I know there is suppose to be some there...I WANT IT! >:[ anyone have pics of what it looks like? Should I even bother trying to fix it?

 

I noticed mine on accident, i have a 07 tl with navi and at first couldn't figure where they were coming from but notcied the small area of blue lumination. i can get a pic for you tonight for better effect if youd like. Its a nice look but no difference in not having it. Definitely not worth a dealer price in my opinion but if theres a cheap fix it might be a nice thing to do.
