Am I The Only Person Who Does Not Like Dealing With Dealers???
I'm not sure if I'm in the the minority or what, but I dread the day I have to visit the dealership. They take waaaayyyy too long to work on your car and they overcharge you for simple things. When my foglight cracked I brought the car in and they did an excellent job. I'll give them credit when credit is due. But to wait 3hrs + for an oil change when I have an appointment is simply unacceptable. My dealer wanted $100+ tax for simple tire rotation and balance.
They do there due diligence, but they are just a pain sometimes.

I can totally relate. When I used to own an Accord, sometimes I would ask them not to do something, but they did it anyway and then expected me to pay for it. I had to put up a 20-minute fight with a service manager to get the charge for it off of the invoice.
Try a different dealer. Google reviews on that dealer before going there. Ask other "Acurazine" members in your area for recommendations.
Good luck to you

Well i don't mind the dealership, i figure they specialize on working on cars like mine, they use oem parts and are trained specifically to deal with my car.
I don't like how they charge by the book on jobs, regardless how long it takes.
Its hard finding a trusted mechanic that takes care of your car properly, i try and do all my work myself but find that next to impossible in some situations (beyond my capabilities, or tools cost too much.)
I think its hit or miss, every person no matter where they work will treat your car differently. Its hard to say this dealership sucks because one idiot worked on your car or didn't take the time to do everything properly..but in the end i guess it does reflect on how they do things at a certain place.

Whenever I bring my car in for an oil change or service, I make an appointment, but as most people have noted, that does not make a bit of difference in some dealerships. I usually just walk around and look at the cars, which usually takes me to the end of the service time. So I don't mind.
About those that are buying cars, I actually did this when I bought my Accord new in 2004.
I made an appointment with the car internet salesman, and told him I was coming in for a test drive (after we had agreed to a low price). I told him as soon as I saw him that I understood that his time was very important, and that he has other clients to take care of. I told him if we can get out of here in an hour, I'll personally give him $30 (or some other amount/thing that you think would make it worth his while to hurry).
From the time I shook my hand to the time I had the keys in my hand, it was 56 minutes. Of course, I had financing in my hand already.
I called three days later and also ordered him a pizza for lunch, and he called me back to say that no one has ever done that before and thanked me.

It totally depends on the dealer. Montgomeryville Acura outside of Philadelphia is excellent. They've always gone out of their way, or so it seems, to make me happy. I bought my CPO 06 TL from another dealer in the area and it was terrible experience. I've bought used cars before so I expect some hassle, but the salesperson was an absolute scumbag.

it's a car-drive it
The dealer I go to (Lehigh Valley Acura in Emmaus, PA) is excellent. The service manager goes out of his way to be helpful and does not try to sell me unneeded service. They get excellent reviews on the dealerrater website. I live in NC and recently took my car to Stevenson Acura for a oil change. They told me my car needed a power steering fluid flush and a fuel flush. I turned it down and then e-mailed LVA to ask their opinion. They e-mailed me back saying DON'T DO IT-power steering fluid only needs to be changed if contaminated and they do not even do fuel flushes-just a rip-off.
