Alternatives to Zaino in the city
i have read all about the benefits of zaino, and would like to get some on my car, but i don't have a driveway. i can't even wash my car myself, whcih really sucks, because even 100% hand washes probably put some swirls on my paint. but are there any shops that put zaino on for you? i imagine it would take several hours and probably... 50-100 bucks?
or maybe i'm just dreaming

Living in a downtown area (sure, downtown Indianapolis is lightyears different than downtown LA), you're right in that it sucks not having a place of your own (i.e. driveway) to wash your car. However, why not buy the supplies and put them in a milkcrate and take them to a hand carwash bay near your place? I used to do that a bunch before I got wise to downtown life.......you see, most large highrise buildings will have a car wash place in the parking garage. Anyways, over the last 4 years, I've become pretty good friends with the master detailer in my work garage....he handwashes for $10 and it looks spotless and perfect...that's cheaper than any auto or hand place in this city and it looks 500 x better than any other place too.
Anyways, long story short, he completely details my car twice a year too.....well, I did the Zaino process on my car myself a month or so ago. However, he's willing to learn how and what to do and charge me for his labor accordingly.
I would check with your surrounding office buildings and see if you have a similar car wash place available and then establish a relationship (through tips and conversation) with the guys and then pose the Zaino question to them.
My guy wasn't offended at all and was more than willing to try a new product if it made his job easier.
