Almost new?
Almost new?
Good news, I have just put a deposit on a new 2005 TL that is being shipped in from another dealer. I made sure to ask the sales associate that it is a new car, and I said mileage less than 10 miles. He said yes.
Bad news, after he processed the paperwork and going through the motions. He comes back and tells me he believes the mileage is less than 50 miles. I tell him I'm concerned since 50 miles is not necessarily a demo but it's also not what I call a "new" car (the ones with the white plastic on the hood, roof, truck, interior wrapped in plastic).
Am I being being a little riduculus here or should I insist on a <10 mile car. Curious what your thoughts were.

I would not take the car...
....Request them to get you another car and tell them to throw in few things for your inconvenience...
you have to keep in mind that when people test drive the car, they usually ACCELERATE really hard and BRAKE really hard...and on the new cars, this is not a good idea....so why would you want a car that has been torn up a little? i mean you are still paying approximately $35k, so a few weeks of wait should not be a problem...

Here's a similar thread regarding an 04 TL with the same issue of mileage https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ht=car+mileage
