allow me to re-introduce myself

some of you know me but my name is percy and I currently drive a 1g cl. i wanted a cl since i was in high school and now my dream is satisfied.love the car but with over 160k she's tired.i still love her but it's time to move on and the only car that made me think about giving her up is a 3g a-spec.even after all the $$ i put in the cl i'll giftwrap her with a pretty red bow and get rid of her in a heartbeat after my test drive.i looked at a the g35,02 5 series bmw,and a c class benz but they just didn't do it for me for the tag.i liked the 2g tl-s better at first until i drove the 3g (wasn't even gonna looking at a 3g until my friend let me drive his loaner)

need your opinions on one i found since i'm a noob and don't want to be raped like i was on my cl. i found a anthricite a-spec with navi for $27,500. 26k,one owner, service records, lifetime rim/tire warranty,50k warranty. is $27,500 a good price?(kbb is about that) what should i look for when i test drive? any advice is much appreciated...............

in case your interested here is my 1g

how come you can only add a-spec option on kbb on the 04's? i looked up 05 and the private party is about right without adding the a-spec option. $26,930 in good condition and he says it's excellent which lists for $28,495. so $27,500 is in the middle which seems like a fair price but as i said i'm a to tl's.i would think a-spec would increase the value???

1G is lookin' real good... (So you were the only one with the Cruise Ship in the BackGround... Good Look!)

When they say the A Spec option... what do they really include??? (Underbody Kit, Steering Wheel, 18" Wheels and the Suspension)

Why wouldn't you just get a brand spanking NEW one for 3 to 4K more and receive a much better financing rate???

are the 07 fronts different from 04-06 cuz for some reason the 07 front doesn't look the same?something throws off the look (i do want the fogs/mirrors though).

another big reason i don't want a NEW tl is as soon as i drive it off the lot i took a 3-4k loss. 26k is low enough,i let someone else take the loss of $$ plus break her in for me.

Percy like I told you go jump on that before its gone and you'll be stuck looking around again and never know when the one you really want comes around again. Remember it aint like your car is in great condition right now.

Make sure that it is an entire aspec with bodykit, rims, suspension upgrade, steering wheel upgrade and it has the emblem. Just as for some reference, the entire A-spec upgrade is 5,000 dollars.

05 26k mi a-spec I think the price is close to decent, if this car is certified and from the dealer. I'd suggest going for non a-spec as you may have a better selection and cheaper prices...you're into mods anyway, so you'll install the kit you want later on.

Percy,

My old man owns a 99CL 2.3 white, he loves it, he bought it new in 99 only has 40K on it today. I love the ride of the CL!! I recently bought a 06 TL 6spd and I love the dang thing! I regret buying black because its a bitch to keep clean. The old man loves my TL though, he always wants me to bring it over so he can take it on road trips because of the way it rides. He loves the power, the quietness-not that the CL isn't and the ride the TL puts out. I'd go for a 3rd gen if i were you, you won't regret anything but for the payments! I would look around for a 3rd gen as they are plentiful even in the 6spd! You will definetly love the 6spd, she's got balls compared to the 2.3l though. In the midwest here there are many many TLs for sale and the prices aren't too bad, you could find an 06' with less than 15k for about the price of the one your looking at that is with Navi! If you get one, Navi is a must, I can't imagine not owning a car without navi-oem navi that is. Well good luck on your search, you won't regret it! btw, your car looks hott!

when you buy a TL off a dealership, with aspec it will cost more

when someone sells/trades in a TL, value of the aspec add-on goes down dramatically

looks like you're buying aspec TL from a private sale, which I would think you can do some more negotiation if the seller thinks aspec worth a decent amount of value. also have to make sure the car has the entire aspec kit, not just the body (eg. suspension etc.)

oh yeah ur CL looks hella nice, much better than the majority of the cars out there of the same age or younger

a-spec > type-s (except for motor). i thought about it but the rims, red lighting and bulky mirrors was the deal killer.i'd prob get in trouble with the extra horses anyway.........

i really don't plan on doing much to to the car besides tints/rims/07 mirrors and a couple other minor mod's. i want it as equipped as possible(oem). the a-spec drop is good enough for me,not slamming this one.i just wanna drive it and be a
