ALL 2005 TL's with fogs?

can someone tell me how to apply fogs to 3G's with base bumper?

i know you need the 03-05 Honda Accord sedan fogs, but applying them seems confusing?

FWIW, all US-market '04-'06 TLs have auxiliary fog lights integrated into the headlight units. The fog lights are controlled by the separate switch on the headlight switch stalk: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...505O00080A.pdf.

Some members have done conversions or added fog lights to the lower bumper area for aesthetic reasons, though, if that is what you're considering??

^ The 04-06 fogs in the headlight assembly are useless, IMO. Didn't do much for me when I needed them.

OP, there are a lot of DIYs on here regarding the "fog relocation". Search that and you'll come up with something. I've seen some pictures of this done and the fitment isn't PERFECT but its close... I guess it depends on how much time is spent.

Good luck!

Its really not confusing, but you need to cut ot the inserts on your current bumper and install the accord fogs onto yours, I'm pretty sure that you can easily wire up another switch or wire them directly to your foglights now.

I wanted an offset look, and I think this worked for me very happy with the results too!

but what about cutting the black piece? i'd rather prefer them on the outer edges then the offsets. how do the accord fogs fit in?

Do you have a picture of your car with them on? Curious how it looks. Thanks

I think the fogs where they are work fine. However, I'm still having problems changing the factory bulbs out for my Hyper yellow ones. I can't get my hand in the small spot Acura gives you.

I was driving down the highway, with no one else around, & hit the auxillary foglights, they lighted up a lot more. Didn't think it would brighten up so much extra.

Wondering can you buy the bumper inserts from a newer TL and then put fogs in there? It will save cutting and measuring...

Cool SSM more info would be great! Those look really good, IMO better than the '07-'08 TLs. I wonder if we can get someone to make custom replacement grills for '04-'06 TL owners so that we can incorporate the Accord fog lights or any fog lights without having to cut and modify the OEM grills??? Piaa makes some custom mounting kits for a couple of different vehicles so it's possible. Would anyone else be interested?

I like the look of the smaller fogs on the car above. Please supply us with the link. Your car is looking really nice and different from the rest. They also look like they are pointing straight compared to the accord fogs that are to the side.

Wow those are expensive but look really nice. Hella is a really good brand too. Can you upload some close up photos of the grill and what you did to modify them to fit the lights?

Check this out,

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/hella/micro_de.jsp

they look similar, no HID kit, but for $139 they are cheap, and im sure you can put an H3 HID kit on those.

They are different by far. One is a fog light, which has a normal halogen fog set up, while the ones mentioned above are Xenon driving lights.

SSMt32nv, please share the install procedure with us. By far I think you have the cleanest fog light installation out of any 04-05 TLs.

The hella Micro DEs (halogen ones) can be altered to fit HID bulbs , I have a set with me which I'll be installing later down the road. The ones I have come with preformed bracket for Toyota Celica and can be cut to fit the TL and also have an adjustment screw for vertical adjustment.

Bleh, I tried the accords fog mod myself. I got one side done (after spending like 5 hours cutting and test fitting) It's not worth it IMO. The shrouds protrude and the grille is torn apart just to get the fogs to sit flush in the bumper and they still point out to the side It looks good from a little distance but you can see the butchering of the grille when you get up close to the car. Im glad I bought the cheapo eBay kit, hehe. I plan on doing something like SSM's. Very nice look.

+1, thats what I have realized after seeing all the pictures and reading up on the topic that the mod is purely for aesthetics since the fogs point outwards rather than throwing useful light in front of the car.

I have the hellas and plan on modding them to take D2S bulbs (just like the HID ones do) before installing them in the bumper .
