I currently have an 2001 Acura CL-S type. I am in the process of purchasing a 2004 Acura TL. On My Acura CL I had my headlight stolen, and of course got a alarm installed after it was replaced. It seems to work fine.

When I get my 2004 Acura TL I will be purchasing the LoJack with Early warning. I would also like to get a Alarm for it, since the lojack will not stop someone from just stealing the headlights etc.

Can anyone recommend an alarm?... I had a quote for a AudioVox Prestige APS786 w/Remote start for $500.00 (includes an extra key for the remote start) from a alarm installer.. or pay $629.00 dealer installed alarm. FYI, the alarm dealer is the same person installing the alarm for the dealer (LOL). The dealer is going to install the Pursuit line... the Alarm Dealer would installl the (Prestige APS786 (retail)).

 

I had my lights stolen from my '02. Sucks. Are the thefts still happening with the new designed headlights in the '04s?

 

There is always the chance cars' headlights could be stolen. However, 04TL's seems harder and more secured than its predecessors'.

I don't say it's good, but could be the option for you.

 

Do you guys know if the headlight transformers are still attached to the headlights?.. I think that is one of many reasons they were stolen

1) Switchable with accord
2) Headlights and transformers are all integrated.
3) Easy to steal
