Give my friend Emir a call, he's the owner of Hy-Tuned Audio and Security. He does quality work at reasonable prices too. Located at 1901 E Linden Ave in Linden, NJ 07036. His # is 908-220-5390. Tell him Anand with the silver CLS from SiCrew sent you, he'll take good care of you. Good Luck

in Brooklyn there are plenty: Mobile Electronics and 212 Motoring, etc...
From my past experience with Clifford 3.5 Matrix with all the bells and whistles, my car was still jacked in Brooklyn. lol. Save your money, just a get a remote starter installed =]
Right, Elegant Type S All day to install the alarm, only a few mins to disable it, if they want your car, they will find a way...
Good Luck.
PS I'm hearing great stuff about Compustar, go with it.

The one that I got is a two-way remote start with alarm. The remote starts beeping if my alarm is going off. It also has a 1-mile range. Retail price including installation is about $510, but my brother works there so the discounts are good

Don't go back there. I think you told me that story a couple of weeks ago. If I was you, I'd find a new guy because if that guy can jack up his price that quickly and not give you proper reason for it, then he might be messing with other stuff that need not be messed with.

The 5900SST retail + install is generally like $600+.. but.. come on, who the f*ck pays retail these days??
Ebay, internet or a person with a DEI hook up, you'll get the 5900SST unit for about $230-250, the 791VX unit is like $170~
Most places charge good money for an install for an alarm like that + with a fancy car like the TL.
My brother-in law installed the 5900 on my last TL, and he even linked the Remote to have it maintain Memory 1 settings when used and activate them (trigger wire to the memory buttons).. he did a clean ass install , and he is doing my TL-S again sometime this week.. He has worked for every single Car-Alarm place on LI that is credible (Parkway, Unique Motorsports, Movin' on and more)
So if you really interested, shoot me a PM, and ill ask how much he'll charge to do it..

sure. Ill ask for a price quote, he can even get the alarm for you, hes an authorized DEI dealer/installed, and we are close to the queens border. so PM me if you are def. interested
fyi
5900 > 7900 IMO. screw a color remote, i would rather have a 1 mile range.. with i have tested many times (just over 3/4 of mile with fairly no interference) which is damn good to me. Its great to have your car 3 or 4 blocks away, and know you will alerted of possible damage or theft to your car..

Wow, interesting. That changes a lot. Lol.
Blackura, which one are you about to install? Would you recommend the 5900 over the Compustar Pro (the latest one, can't remember the model off the top of my head).

hahha. yea, like a rent a huge hanger or garage for a day, and just get to work lol
to all the PM's i got, i asked him to get me price quotes, and i will respond later when i get them... basically, retail will be well over (5900SST) $600+ installed, expect this to be AALLOOTT cheaper...

sure. compustar is DEI.
and fyi to all.. he is an authorized resaler/installed for DEI, so you get all the guarantees and warranties for the products. He can also provide the alarm/starters at a discount..
Spoke to him today, and hes gonna put together prices.... maybe, just maybe, we could get a group buy started if enough people are interested... hes gonna get back to me tomorrow with some solid #'s
