Is still the go-to kit for these cars? And is there any reason to NOT use the mitsobishi belt and buy a seperate OEM one? Id seen some reviews where they ditched the belt from the kit and bought a seperate oem one. Just curious if all is still good with this kit?

I have used the Aisin kit on 3 different Hondas/Acuras and they have all performed flawlessly. Just be sure to buy it from Rockauto and not ebay or amazon.

OP, if you feel adventurous, and have gift cards you want to experiment with, order your 07 TLS Aisin TKH-002 from the Aisin Store Amazon page below:

When you receive your parcel immediately take pictures of the box (which should look similar to the below) & contents.
Update this thread with what the Amazon Aisin store sends you to prove whether it is a legit avenue to consider other than RA.


Furthermore, the water pump should have the AISIN nomenclature molded into its structure similar to the below:

The TB Idler pulley & the TB adjuster pulley should have 'Koyo' molded into the orangish rubber around the bearing area.
The TB auto tensioner may or may not have the word 'Aisin' rubber stamped in white ink on its side.
The TB should be made by Mitsuboshi.

If none of these are present return and get refunded.

I wouldn't order parts from Ebay or Amazon, these website flooded with counterfeits parts. I personally shop at Acura dealer part website for OEM and for OEM supplier i ONLY shop at Rock Auto.

not yet. Got some other maintenance to do before doing the TB service. But ill likely just order that Aisin kit from rockauto.

Just another data point for you, I had the Aisin TKH-002 TB kit from RA installed in my car about 23,000 miles ago, using that Mitsuboshi belt.

It has been perfect. No strange noises. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Very happy with my decision to use the Aisin kit from RA.
