Air Filter change on 2004 TL

What is the easiest way to change the air filter on the TL? There is a plastic strip on the driver side fender that seems to be in the way of getting the filter out. I can't seem to be able to remove that strip due to the 2 clips holding it in place.

Replaced mine fairly easily. I recommend removing the bracket holding the battery down closest to the air filter assembly. Once all 4 screws are loosened, lift the upper portion of the air filter box and pull towards the left tire. Good luck.

Different filter - that is for the cabin. The filter being discussed is for the engine.

Not to ask a dumb question but are you referring to the battery cover? That simply lifts straight up (you have to pop it a little, but it's easily removed). Then simply unscrew all the bolts bolding the top housing to the bottom. I've found the most difficult problem is bending the housing and hose assembly far enough out of the way to remove the filter. It's not difficult - just pretty snug. Also be sure to detach a wire harness that connects to the top housing and then replace after the filters changed. Once you've done this you can probably do it the next time in about 5 minutes or less.

thanks for everyone's help. Acura should make it easier to change a air filter.
