Air Filter and Cabin Filter

Yes does the 3G have a plain air filter? Im trying to find a part number and only the cabin filter comes up. Could be a dumb question but I've seen worst so Im going for it. Also would you recommend using the factory filter or replace with a K&N filter

There is a carbon cabin filter that is pretty nice also. Don't have link right away but found it on here.

I use factory air filters.

I also use the factory filter. From what I understand (read it somewhere on this site) they're actually a really nice multi-stage filter.

I would stay away from K&N. Some people swear by them, but it's pretty well established that their filters don't actually filter that well. Plus, oiled filters don't often agree too well with MAF sensors.

i would go OEM if you dont have an aftermarket intake for the intake filter. Cabin filter I just put whatever, carbon works well too i hear.

I have always gone OEM for both filters, but have considered the carbon one for the cabin filter.

2 years ago, I replaced the OEM panel filter on my 2008 TL-S with the K&N filter. Looking back, it was a waste of money because I didn't feel any difference in the performance. Stick with OEM.

I believe it was rockauto.com that had the carbon filters. I am running one now and have noticed a little better smelling air at initial a/c start up.

I bought 2 oem filters and 2 carbon cabin filters. I have no local dealer so I stock up when I can. I also bought 30 honda oil filters with crush washers on ebay for 100.00 shipped.
