Has anybody notice driver side air bag deployment line is very visable?
Dealer ordered new air bag for me today. But no luck yet with rear tires.

Not quite sure what u mean by "line".

Boy, that is odd. Mine doesn't look anything like that.

 

What did I see on Dealer's lot(when he inspect my TL) --- most of the SRS with this line, but less visiable. All was a 5AT & vin# from 035XXX to 075XXX. Better check your's SRS too. That's odd.

 

I must have missed some history to your story.. but why did he order a new air bag?

No I know that, but you said a whole new airbag you are getting, or do you mean a new center wheel peice air bag housing?

 

Mine sure doesn't look like that. Looks like they installed a cheap non genuine acura part. Check to see you got the real thing if not, demand a genuine part, the insurance company is obligated to install genuine parts if you tell them to.

It means should be whole new airbag???

 

I believe that the airbag and the trim piece are one integrated unit.

 

checked mine today and it does not look like the picture posted. even when i stare at it from different angles.

 

Dude this is better. It will actually come out faster than others that are not visible. since its on the verge of ripping as is.. LOL.. sorry.. but its not normal. mine u cant even tell... no lines no marks.. sh*t.. maybe mine wond even come out lol...

 

you are correct you cant order them seperately. it comes as on unit.

mine has that !! appeared after they fixed my ignition.

dealer had to remove that piece to fix the ignition. tomorrow they have to replace a panel they messed up while doing ignition fix, now they will need to replace the middle section of wheel.

The dealer ordered the new placement for him.

 

Mine looks like that too... but I haven't thought about getting it replaced. Doesn't bother me that much...yet!

 

Same thing happened to me but only on the right side. I hit it hard to warn some joker drifting lanes and next time I looked down, I noticed it. I wasn't sure if I had done it or if it had always been like that. Now I know. Mine isn't as bad so I don't know that I'll have them replace it. Or, if I hit it again on the left it will look symetrical like yours!!!! Then I'd consider having it replaced. Must be really thin material!!!!
