Check the group buy forum, excelerate has some kaixens for $109, i believe there is also a thread.

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/wanted-stuff-182401/

Above thread also has some cheap HID bulbs for $40 shipped.... no reviews on them just yet. I believe they are xtec bulbs.

Kaixen has a 8500k not a 8000k. Which is a pretty deep blue. If you didn't know the higher the kelvin you go up the less light output it puts out.

i just read the showthread on on hid's excelerate left. so basically send a check for 109.00, specify which ones i want, and just wait for them. i live in virginia, wouldn't know how long it would take to get here would you. this may sound dumb but how will you know where to ship it, or will you be running the address off the personal check.

5000k is nearly stock color- just a hint more blue in them,
6000k is way more blue- you lose some white directly in front of the car, but pick up long- range vision on road markings-signs and the white stripes on semi trucks jump out as blue from a mile+ away!!
Anything higher in Kelvin color scale and you lose too much actual visabilty on the road with the lights, and risk attracting unwanted attention from the Law about your `overly bright headlights`- even thought they are not brighter they look funky purple so they must be illegal!!!
