After lurking on Acurazine for a little over two years I have finally made my purchase! I'm now the proud owner of a brand new alabaster silver 2006 TL. I got really lucky and found the combo that I was looking for last week. Taking a road trip this weekend to pick it up. The funny thing is that the local dealer that I had been dealing with is trying to see if they can get the vehicle from the other dealer (my new car is in VA). Well, they've been having some difficulty contacting the other dealer. In the meantime they offered me invoice plus tax and tags on a new 07. I said no dice because the price that I got on the 06 was way better than this. He then called me back and offered me $31,900 OTD! Which means after the 3% NC tax, $55 tag fee, and $399 doc fee the sales price was $30,530, $988 under invoice! So you guys probably think I'm crazy, but I didn't take that deal either. If I hadn't already found the new 2006 that I wanted I would have jumped on this deal. Needless to say I got the 2006 for way less than this and when it comes down to it I love the car that purchased and in the end that's all that matters Saturday feels like it will never get here

Where in Va. will your road trip take you? My first long trip in my TL was from Fairfax, Va. to Raleigh, NC. My Father was in the hospital and lived in Clayton. Watch out for the Troopers just south of Richmond to NC border, if that's your route.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Yeah, I'm taking I-85 from Raleigh to Richmond, then 95 to Woodbridge to pick up my car. Yeah, I've seen how bad the troopers are there around the border. Knock on wood, out of my almost 15 years of driving I've never had a ticket. Hope I just didn't jinx myself. It's supposed to be really nice this weeknd (60 and mostly sunny) so I'll get to enjoy the drive back. Is it Saturday yet?

Do you mean like Halifax County? I bet they still have a speed trap there! I had to bail my cousin out from there, AFTER I told him not to speed thru there, AND I was in the back seat sleep! Not this New Years, but about 10 years ago. I woke up because of the lights (trooper) and knew he had ignored me! Moron! And yes, his ass paid me back every cent! Had to have my family wire it to me from my private stash! LOL!
