After 2 years I bought my first TL

First I want to say this website is probably my most visited website since I started getting an urge to buy a TL (about 2 years). It was always a dream of mine to get one. When people would ask what my dream car was I have always responded with 04-08 TL. Well my dream came true.

I originally wanted a WDP or NBP with less then 60k mi. Well, I ended up with a
'06 MRP TL with 56k mi.

After 2 years I bought my first TL-da336.jpg

I got a pretty good price of 17k for it (after making sure it had a clean title history) and ended up paying 14k with my trade (Im a 24yr old who drove a 2001 Chrysler town and country )

I would love to modify the car to what everyone has here but I dont know absolutely nothing about cars! I look at all of these DIY and Group buys on here but kind of draw a blank as what to do. If I do start to mod/upgrade I will probably end up paying tons for someone to install or do easy maintenance. If anyone lives in the Huntsville, AL and wants to make some money :P let me know, I would love to do make it unique to my tastes (and AZ)

Thank you for such a great site, my bank account will love you guys!

Really rare color AND low miles. Nice find!

You don't have to be car-savvy to do a lot of mods. The DIY tutorials on this site really help you out, but if not, there are a ton of local members who could give you a hand if needed. Check the regions section

Thank you, but when it comes to the tutorials, I look at them

I have checked the region area a couple times but no such luck to find anyone yet

Congrats! You have a RRP. MRP is for the 07-08's. I have to say it is one of the best colors. I myself was looking for a WDP or ABP, but fell in love with this color. When she is all clean and waxed, she will shine like you won't believe. I didn't know anything about modding before joining this site either. Now I've done the A-Spec lip kit install, the footwell lighting, and most recently the accord fog light install. Good luck with whatever you do.

Congratulations. An A-Spec under spoiler kit may give the car a more complete look.

Beautiful
Awesome
Congrats
Welcome

AZ is the best forum I have ever been on.
It taught me alot about TL's. After owning 3-06-07 TL's, I got rid of my loaded 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS LS3 last Dec. and can't wait until I get another TL Type-S.

I wont have to do much research as AZ has taught my son and I how to takes these cars apart like LEGO's

Enjoy the MODDING if you like

Nice that it's an 06. First I would do is the trunk lip spoiler.
Than as they said A-Spec.
I agree how they say this color looks so nice when it's clean. But I would get it tinted.
I would leave the amber bulbs inside, since matches with seat color, but would deffintly change license plate to white LED's.
Also 3 set pedals.
Oh Stage III exhaust

This would be around $1000
but I believe A-Spec is like $700.
Instead, get color matched splash guards + may be just front A-Spec if too much money

Enjoy & Congrats

People always told me a dream car is one that was unobtainable but i guess some dreams are ment to come true.

Im currently looking at 18" wheels in black, plan on plasti-dip emblems and front grill, followed by window lip and trunk lip. Followed by the aspec. To me the car is fast enough so i wont doing any performance mods yet, just ascetics.

Make that three! Now we gotta dream even bigger. I'm hoping to get into a F10 M5 when I'm able to afford one.

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.
