Advice for a new 2005 TL owner

I just purchased a new 2005 TL - Anthracite/Quartz/Auto.

I am really impressed with the car thus far. Very solid feel. Great interior. Wonderful engine with a smooth and responsive auto tranny.

I would appreciate any advice on waxes or other car care products. I have used Zymol in the past. Any anthracite owners with suggestions?

I live in a fairly snowy area - any experience with the acura all-weather mats or some of the aftermarket mats?

Any suggestions on a good source for aftermarket items. I am specifically interested in aluminum foot pedals.

Thanks.

For the wax and other car care products, go to the Wash & Wax Forum. Lots of good info there.

The Acura all weather mats are good, I have them in my car. The only problem is that there is no lip on the front of the mat, so if you are in snowy country and the snow melts, there is nothing to contain the water. I offered a solution to this, which was to drive uphill all the time, but people said that wasn't any good.

There have been a few threads on foot pedals recently. Try the search and see what you get while you are waiting for replies.

You don't have to "search" for a forum. Go down near the bottom of the page, and there is a long rectangle on the right hand side with "Forum Jump" printed above it. Click on the rectangle and all the forums will appear. Pick out the one you want, and when you have some spare time check out some of the others.

You can search for the foot pedals, though. Click on the "Search" box at the top right corner, enter a key word(s), like pedal, and then hit Go. You will get lots of results, just pick out the ones that look applicable and check them out.

melly, Rons comments notwithstanding, I like the floor mats for keeping the carpeting clean. They are not foolproof, but will hold some water. The trunk mat is a must, though. If you ever carry messy or damp stuff like plants, etc, you will be glad you have it. I have always used Meguires wax products, but for the TL I am switching to Zaino Bros stuff. From what I have read, Zaino takes less time to keep the car looking good. I hope you enjoy your new car as much as i like mine.

Acura all weather mats fit perfectly and perform very well.

Trunk tray from Acura has a perfect fit and does a great job of protecting trunk.

Zaino products seem to work the best for car care.

myrwon.......Your dealer will most likely have the floor mats, trunk mat, splash guards, wheel locks, and other stuff.

Unless you have a very special relationship with your dealer, they will rape you like there is no tomorrow and they do NOT sell KY. Instead, for all your OEM needs, do what I do and check out Curry Acura's eBay store here.
