Advice on accessories for 04 TL
The dealer I am dealing with has quoted me $700.00 installed for a deck lid spoiler and $100.00 for mudd flaps installed. I think this is a little high. does anyone have any Internet recommendations for accessories for the 2004 TL. I plan to order the car tomorrow.

Prices at www.acura.com for the two items (MSRP):
Deck lid spoiler: $399
Splash guards: $89
Looks like he may be trying to pull a fast one.

My car came with a wing spoiler & body kit. Dealer charged $1400 extra, handed a sheet listing prices for dealer installed accessories, Rear Spoiler is $799/625 (internet price), was told same price for wing or deck lid spoiler; Mud guards are $179/149.
Last checked several days ago, you can get the deck lid spoiler at sunnyside acura for $319,20 ($399 list), wing spoiler for $399.96 ($499.95 list); so dealer was not even close (both yours & mine), even with their internet price. & yes, there is a difference in price on the 2 type of spoilers. Hond********** sales the mud guards for $63.70, free shipping, no tax. I've seen in this forum that dealer typically charge 2 hours of labor (@ around $75/hour) for installing the rear spoiler, & 1 hour for splash guards.

Here's what I got: $500 under list for the car (5AT, no Nav); $149 for the decklid spoiler and $79 for the mudflaps installed.
There is typically about 100% markup on dealer installed accessories and extended warranties, so they have plenty of room to make money and still give you a decent deal. I felt like I got a pretty good deal on the additions.
Good luck on your purchase!
