Advanced Grade Logic Removal?

Just curious if this is possible? Maybe flash the ecu or something? After reading the SportShift thread, I realize I use SS almost everyday, but only to combat the grade logic control. I hate the fact that I burn more gas going down a hill than I do going up, especially when brand new brake pads cost only a little more than a full tank of gas.

Actually, it's the other around. By downshifting going downhill, you're getting into fuel cut and using no fuel at all as long as you're not on the gas.

I asked the salespeople and service technicians at two local Acura dealerships and they both said no. A real shame too.

Ahh that sucks. Whether it uses more gas or not I still hate it. Its such an idiot system, half the time it doesnt kick in until Im actually all the way down the hill and rolling on a flat surface.

correction - youre not... its just the power at that speed, well the rotations on that lower gear are much higher to correspond to the speed the tires are going. pretty common misconception

but then again, you start to slow down due to the added friction in the trans and thats why you slow
